Canine Good Citizen prep Course

We are now offering prep classes for anyone interested in getting their dog a canine good citizen certification.

Below I will have a short video for you guys to check out about the Canine Good Citizen program from the American kennel club. Here is a list of benefits.

• Better crowd behavior Dogs learn to handle themselves in crowds, not jump on people, and not pull forward to see other dogs. 
• Improved social behaviors Dogs learn to behave around other dogs and strangers, and to be polite and confident. 
• Better public perceptionCGC-certified dogs can provide a better public perception of dogs and increased safety in public places. 
• Therapy programsPassing the CGC test is a prerequisite for many therapy programs. 
• Discounts on insuranceSome homeowner's insurance programs offer discounts for dogs that have passed the CGC test. 
• Easier to rentLandlords may be more likely to rent to people with CGC-certified dogs, as the test shows that the dog is well-behaved and trained. 

The CGC program is a 10-skill program that focuses on good manners. To pass the test, the dog and its owner must successfully perform each skill under the supervision of a CGC evaluator. The CGC title is valid with the AKC for life.
